Sporty summer: these events get Düsseldorf moving

This summer will be sporty. Whether runs, bike races or unique tournament formats - a program that leaves nothing to be desired. You can find an overview of all events here:

Beach vibes in the middle of the city: EuroBeachVolley 2025

With the CEV EuroBeachVolley at the latest, the summer feeling moves into Düsseldorf. Either in the middle of it all at the Rochusclub or up close via the D.SPORTS channels. Beach volleyball at the highest level awaits you here.

Circus³ at Burgplatz

From August 8-10, Burgplatz will be transformed into an arena for top urban sport. Pure adrenaline and spectacular top performances await you at Circus³ - all free of charge. While speed climbing and 3x3 basketball take center stage at Burgplatz on Friday and Saturday, you will find pole vaulting under the open sky and against the most beautiful backdrop at the lower Rhine wharf on Sunday.

D.RUN

The next D.RUNNING Community Run will take place in Düsseldorf on August 9th. The meeting point is at 10:30 am at the Schlossturm on Burgplatz. After a joint warm-up, we will run approx. 6 to 8 kilometers, easy and relaxed in different pace groups.

Be there, connect with the community and enjoy the atmosphere as you run through the city together! You can also look forward to a surprise afterwards.

"Around the Kö" 🚴‍♀️

Since 1968, "Rund um die Kö" has been an integral part of the Düsseldorf summer. Professionals and young cycling talents compete on the legendary route in the heart of the city. Along the Königsallee, there is not only cheering, but also partying - with food trucks, music and a colorful supporting program.

German International Youth Championships (GIYC)

At the German International Youth Championships (GIYC), young European handball players come together in the heart of Düsseldorf for a thrilling tournament - with Free admission. For three days, there will be excitement, cheering and passionate battles for every ball.

The GIYC has been one of the highlights in youth handball for five years and brings together top teams from Germany and all over Europe. Taking part for the first time in 2025: FC Barcelona.

Running through the summer: Night Run in the Hofgarten

A highlight for all running enthusiasts: the Night Run Düsseldorf is the first official competition in the Hofgarten - at night! With timekeeping, best time potential over 5 or 10 kilometers as well as medals and an award ceremony, this will be a special running experience. You've never seen the Hofgarten like this before!

New Balance Kö-Mile

This is where sport meets lifestyle and the Kö is transformed into an outdoor arena with sports to take part in and try out. Be there! 🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️

CUPRA Germany Premier Padel

If you want to experience a new sport, the Premier Padel Tour is coming to Germany for the first time from September 20 to 28, with an exclusive stop in Düsseldorf. The best padel players in the world will compete against each other at CASTELLO in the CUPRA Germany Premier Padel P2.

The tournament is part of the international Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour and brings thrilling top-class sport to the sports city. Anyone who wants to experience padel live at the highest level will be treated to spectacular rallies, quick reflexes and great emotions.
